LONG-RANGE

You hear me.

My distress is known to you

As is my joy.

You’re near me.

As close as the beat is

To my aching heart.

You steer me.

A gentle hand on my shoulder

A calming hush in my ear.

Lord, my God,

In my awakening you are there

In my slumber, still.

In the wake of my anxiety

In the throbbing extremes

Of my weary soul

You reside.

Not to condemn

But, in peace, to abide.

Life's a party in a sunflower field. Even when we wilt, we are beautiful to behold.
